Abstract

This study aims to elucidate the depictions of youth and old age in the poetry of Abu Hilal Al-Askari. The poetic texts addressing the stages of youth and old age constitute a significant portion of his poetry. Youth is characterized by an eagerness for life, the pursuit of ambitions, and the fulfillment of aspirations, while old age is marked by a withdrawal from pleasures, amusements, and indulgences, as well as the rejection of the elderly by young women. The importance of this study stems from the lack of prior research addressing this phenomenon in his poetry. The study is structured with an introduction that discusses the research problem, objectives, scope, methodology, and previous studies. It is followed by two chapters: the first chapter presents the depiction of youth in the poetry of Abu Hilal Al-Askari, while the second chapter examines the depiction of old age in his poetry. Finally, the study concludes with a summary of the key findings, accompanied by a list of sources and references utilized. The research employs a descriptive-analytical methodology and culminates in a set of findings outlined in the conclusion.

الملخص

تهدف هذه الدّراسة إلى تجلية صورتي الشّباب والشّيب فِي شِعر أَبِي هِلَالٍ العسكريّ؛ حيث شكّلت النّصوص الشِّعريّة الّتي تحدّثت عن مرحلتي الشّباب والشّيب نسبة كبيرة من شِعره؛ بما في الأُولى من إقبال على الحياة، وتحقيق الطّموحات، والآمال. وبما في الثّانية من عزوف، وإدبار عن اللّهو، والملذّات، والمتع، وكذا صدّ الغواني عن الشّيبة. وقد نبعت أهميّة الدّراسة من خلوّ الدّراسات الّتي تناولت هذه الظّاهرة في شِعره. جاءت الدّراسة في: مقدّمة تناولت مشكلة الدّراسة، وأهدافها، وحدودها، ومنهجها، والدّراسات السّابقة. ومبحثين؛ الأوّل: عرض لصورة الشّباب في شِعر أبي هلال العسكريّ. والثّاني: عالج صورة الشّيب في شِعر أبي هلال العسكريّ. ثمّ خاتمة دُوّنت فيها أبرز النّتائج الّتي توصّلت إليها الدّراسة، أعقبيتها قائمة بالمصادر والمراجع الّتي أفادت منها. توسّلت الدّراسة بالمنهج الوصفيّ التّحليليّ. وخلُصت الدّراسة إلى مجموعة من النّتائج، تمّ رصدها في الخاتمة.
