Abstract

The objective of the current research is to identify the research orientations in the field of curricula and teaching methods of Arabic in refereed educational journals in universities. To do so, this study adopts a descriptive approach through the content analysis method. A sample of four refereed scientific journals issued by universities in Syria was selected and published during the period from 2019 to 2023. The number of researches comprises 45 research in curricula and teaching methods of Arabic. There are some major findings, as follows: research methods employed in research concerning curricula and teaching methods of Arabic in Syria are all quantitative research, and no qualitative, or mixed, research was available. The percentage of research using descriptive methods is 80%, and the percentage of research using questionnaires in these studies, as data collection instruments, is 43.5%. A total of 84.7% of these studies pay great interest in teaching methods, strategies, and techniques in the elements of the Arabic language teaching curriculum. A total number of 37.5% of these studies focus on language skills related to reading, then a total number of 31.3% focus on writing skills, and the rest of language skills have appeared in a small percentage of research. A total percentage of 74.4% of these studies focus on the student. A percentage of 55.6% of these studies are prepared by females, and the majority of these studies are prepared by one researcher with a percentage of 62.2% of the selected ones. A total percentage of 57.7% focuses on the elementary stage in general education. In light of these results, some recommendations and proposals were presented.

الملخص

هدف البحث الحالي إلى التعرف على التوجهات البحثية في مجال المناهج وطرق تدريس اللغة العربية في المجلات التربوية المحكمة بالجامعات، ولتحقيق ذلك تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي من خلال أسلوب تحليل المحتوى، حيث تم اختيار عينة من أربع مجلات علمية محكمة صادرة عن الجامعات في سوريا، وتم نشرها خلال الفترة الزمنية من (2019-2023م)، وبلغ عدد الأبحاث (45) بحثاً في مجال المناهج وطرق تدريس اللغة العربية، وأظهرت النتائج أن المناهج البحثية التي تم استخدامها في بحوث المناهج وطرق تدريس اللغة العربية في سوريا كانت جميعها بحوثاً كمية، ولم تتوفر بحوث نوعية، أو مختلطة، اهتمت تلك البحوث باستخدام المنهج الوصفي بصورة كبيرة وبنسبة بلغت (80%)، وتركز أدوات جمع البيانات في تلك الأبحاث على الاستبانات وبنسبة بلغت (43.5%)، وجاءت طرق التدريس واستراتيجياته وأساليبه كأعلى اهتمام تناولته في عناصر منهج تعليم اللغة العربية من خلال (84.7%) من تلك الأبحاث، كما ركزت البحوث على الاهتمام بالمهارات اللغوية المتعلقة بالقراءة من خلال نسبة بلغت (37.5%)، ثم مهارة الكتابة وبنسبة (31.3%)، وظهرت بقية المهارات اللغوية بنسب قليلة في الأبحاث، وتركز اهتمام تلك الأبحاث على الطالب بنسبة (74.4%)، كما تبين أن الإناث أعددن (55.6%)، من الأبحاث، وغلب على تلك الأبحاث الإعداد من قبل باحث واحد وبنسبة بلغت (62.2%) من الأبحاث، وكان اهتمام تلك البحوث منصباً على المرحلة الأساسية في التعليم العام وبنسبة بلغت (57.7%) من الأبحاث، وفي ضوء تلك النتائج تم التوصل لمجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات.
