Heritage in Digital Literary Discourse: An Analytical Approach to Fawaz Al-Laboun's Tweets

Abstract

This study examines heritage in digital literary discourse through an analytical approach to the tweets of Fawaz Al-Laboun, within a contemporary narrative context shaped by the digital sphere, where narrative forms intersect with creative expression. The study traces transformations in the presence of heritage within the digital environment and explores the potential of short-form narration when employed to generate poetic, cultural, and rhetorical meanings on social media platforms, particularly X. The study relies on the analysis of six selected digital news texts drawn from Al-Laboun's posts. These texts were chosen based on their connection to cultural memory and narrative structure, as well as their capacity to generate meaningful audience interaction within the digital platform. Together, they constitute revealing models of the diversity of digital literary news between heritage-based and everyday contexts, and of the narrative and interactive meanings produced in digital space. The study concludes that heritage in digital literary discourse represents a qualitative narrative shift in which genre boundaries intersect, reshaping the relationship between text and audience and granting digital literary news a renewed cultural and communicative function that connects heritage with the contemporary digital context.

الملخص

تتناول هذه الدراسة التراث في الخطاب الأدبي الرقمي من خلال مقاربة تحليلية لتغريدات فواز اللعبون ضمن سياق سردي حديث يتشكل داخل الفضاء الرقمي، وتتقاطع فيه أنماط السرد مع التعبير الإبداعي. وتنطلق الدراسة من تتبع تحولات حضور التراث في البيئة الرقمية، واستكشاف إمكانات السرد القصير حين يوظف لتوليد دلالات شعرية وثقافية وبلاغية داخل منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وفي مقدمتها منصة (X). اعتمدت الدراسة على تحليل ستة أخبار رقمية مختارة من تدوينات فواز اللعبون، جرى اختيارها بناءً على صلتها بالذاكرة التراثية وبنيتها الحكائية، وقدرتها على توليد تفاعل جماهيري دال داخل المنصة الرقمية، وتمثل هذه الأخبار نماذج كاشفة لتنوع الخبر الأدبي الرقمي بين التراثي واليومي، وما ينتجه من دلالات سردية وتفاعلية في الفضاء الرقمي. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن التراث في الخطاب الأدبي الرقمي يمثل تحولاً سردياً نوعياً تتقاطع فيه حدود الأجناس، ويعيد صياغة العلاقة بين النص والجمهور، ويمنح الخبر وظيفة ثقافية وتواصلية متجددة تسهم في وصل التراث بالسياق الرقمي المعاصر.
