Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the role of management information systems (MIS) in enhancing the effectiveness of instructional design for e-courses. It employed a model linking data integration, system quality, information and service, analytics, and governance to the instructional design phases (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The study also considered decision-making quality as a mediating variable and digital readiness, data-driven decision-making culture, governance, and privacy as moderating factors. A mixed-methods design was used: a questionnaire to measure MIS effectiveness, design effectiveness, and decision quality; interviews and course content analysis; and PLS-SEM modeling. The results showed a positive relationship between MIS effectiveness and design effectiveness, with decision quality mediating this relationship by transforming enrollment, performance, interaction, and support data into indicators that guide design interventions, evaluation, and continuous improvement within a closed loop. The study recommended strengthening governance and privacy, developing integrated dashboards, and enhancing data analysis skills among design and teaching teams.

الملخص

هدفت الدراسة إلى تحليل دور نظم المعلومات الإدارية في تعزيز فاعلية التصميم التعليمي للمقررات الإلكترونية، وذلك من خلال نموذج يربط تكامل البيانات وجودة النظام والمعلومات والخدمة والتحليلات والحوكمة بمراحل التصميم التعليمي (التحليل، التصميم، التطوير، التنفيذ، التقويم)، مع اختبار جودة اتخاذ القرار كمتغير وسيط، وأخذ الجاهزية الرقمية وثقافة اتخاذ القرار المعتمد على البيانات والحوكمة والخصوصية كعوامل معدِّلة. استخدمت الدراسة تصميماً مختلطاً: استبانة لقياس فاعلية MIS وفاعلية التصميم وجودة القرار، ومقابلات وتحليل محتوى مقررات، ثم نمذجة PLS-SEM. أظهرت النتائج علاقة إيجابية بين فاعلية MIS وفاعلية التصميم، وأن جودة القرار تتوسط العلاقة بتحويل بيانات التسجيل والأداء والتفاعل والدعم إلى مؤشرات تقود تدخلات تصميمية وتقويماً وتحسيناً مستمراً ضمن حلقة مغلقة. وأوصت بتقوية الحوكمة والخصوصية، وبناء لوحات مؤشرات متكاملة، وتنمية كفايات تحليل البيانات لدى فرق التصميم والتدريس.
